With the new FIFA resolution extending until June 2023 the authorization for athletes who play in Russian and Ukrainian teams to suspend their contracts with the clubs they defend, Timão has kept an eye on the player, who at the Brazil have played for Santos and Internacional – Russia and Ukraine have been at war since February.

The Corinthians board are watching the market for a striker to replace Jo’s departure, who terminated the contract with the alvinegro club after having been caught playing pagoda in a São Paulo bar, as the team was beaten by Cuiabáin Mato Grosso, for the Brazilian Championship.

The options on the domestic stage don’t sit well with Timão’s bosses, who have struggled to look for names abroad, but see a good possibility of loaning out Yuri, due to the scenario in Eastern Europe.

As the report points out, there is no open negotiation between Corinthians and the striker, but Corinthians’ representatives are talking to people from the athlete’s staff to be able to move the negotiations forward.
