Dennis Carvalho's painting is still serious, but still stable, says his ex-wife

The state of health of Dennis Carvalho, 75, is still serious, but remains stable, said actress Deborah Evelyn, ex-wife of the director. He has been hospitalized since December 26 for sepsis, a serious generalized infection of the body, at Copa Star Hospital in Rio de Janeiro.

The information was updated in an interview with columnist Patricia Kogut, from the newspaper O Globo. She said he responds well to neurological stimuli and thanked the messages of affection the family has received.

“The condition is still quite serious, but that he is stable is good news. He is strong and fighting. We receive countless messages of love, strength and affection for him. I am sure that he receives this everything”.

The director left TV Globo in September, after more than 40 years of contract with the broadcaster. On the channel, he was responsible for iconic soap operas such as “Dancin’ Days” (1978), “Vale Tudo” (1988)” and “Celebridade” (2003).

Recently he directed a great success in the theater, the musical “Club da Esquina – Dreams do not age”.
