Extraordinary FGTS: “withdrawal in progress”; What does this message mean?

There is less than a month left before the deadline for requesting an extraordinary levy from the Departure Compensation Fund (FGTS). However, when accessing Caixa Tem, where deposits are made, workers were confronted with the following message: “withdrawal in progress”.

According to Caixa Econômica Federal, the message means that the amount should fall into the account within 15 days. Thus, the warning is very common, so workers need not worry.

However, if the waiting time exceeds this period, you must contact Caixa via the telephones 4004-0104, for capitals and metropolitan areas, and 0800-104-0104, for other areas, or go to a branch in the financial institution. .

Deadline ends

Until December 15, about 12 million workers can withdraw up to 1,000 reais in reference to the withdrawal of the FGTS. According to Caixa Econômica Federal, responsible for the fund, 45.26 million workers have already withdrawn the sums, for a total of R$30.98 billion. However, there are still 8 billion reais to be repaid.

In this way, the request can be made through the FGTS app (available for Android and iOS). Thus, after the request, the amount is credited to the digital savings account opened at Caixa Tem within 15 days.

How to move the money from the extraordinary withdrawal?

Finally, through the Caixa Tem app (available for Android and iOS), the worker will be able to move the digital social savings account, where the amount redeemed from the FGTS will be credited. Thus, through the platform, it is possible to use the virtual debit card, payslips or invoices and to use the QR code to pay for purchases in supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacies and other establishments.

In addition, the worker will be able to transfer the amount to any bank, free of charge, or even withdraw the money in cash at Caixa’s self-service terminals and lottery points, using the code generated by the application.
