O Palm trees he has already been crowned Brasileirão champion, but he still has a few games ahead of him, in which he will only fill the table. The team led by Abel Ferreira will face Cuiabá, this Sunday (6), for the 36th round. An interesting fact is that Deyverson, who rose to prominence for his time at Palestra, will meet his former club for the first time but admits he won’t celebrate if he scores.

Always controversial, he didn’t think twice before answering, but guaranteed above-average respect for Verdão: “Some have said that if I score, I can celebrate. I have already said that I will not go, for five years, out of respect for the Palmeiras institution. There will be no dancing. If I score, I’m not going to celebrate.”the striker told Globo Esporte, adding:

“But I will be there to defend Cuiabá, the crowd that has always supported and cheered me on. I think it will be a very exciting game. They are already asking me to hold back my tears. I have never experienced this moment of playing for a club and being supported by the other public”he underlined.

Additionally, Deyverson also said that he is looking forward to meeting Palmeiras fans again, as he has received many expressions of affection on social media since leaving Palestra Itália: “It’s good to see people who have been part of those times with me, Palmeiras fans who still ask me to come back, congratulate me, applaud me, say I can score against them and they will celebrate the same. But I will never stop fighting for Cuiabá, in this Sunday game I will defend my colors”stress.

It remains clear that the importance of the game is much greater for Dourado, who needs the 3 points too much to try to ensure the permanence at the Brasileirão for 2023. Suddenly, for the striker, this would be the perfect scenario: then as Verdão celebrates winning the cup, Dourado celebrates the success of escaping relegation: “To make everything beautiful, against Palmeiras we won the victory. They celebrate the title and we celebrate the permanence”completed.
