(WELLINGTON COUNTY, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to consolidate and streamline our major traffic violations and issue one weekly bulletin.

On April 13, 2023, at approximately 12:15 p.m., a Wellington County OPP member arrested the driver of a black sedan on Brock Road South, Puslinch. As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old Hamilton driver was charged with driving while suspended contrary to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA). The defendant is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Offenses Court on July 19, 2023.

On April 14, 2023 at approximately 9:15 a.m., a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police commenced a commercial motor vehicle inspection of a commercial van on Wellington Road 39, Guelph/Eramosa. As a result of the investigation, an Elora business is facing HTA charges including Vehicle License – Failure to Display Proof of Inspection Sticker and Overweight Vehicle – Violation of License.

On April 14, 2023, at approximately 1:15 p.m., a Wellington County OPP member arrested the driver of a green sedan on Highway 23, Minto. As a result of the investigation, a 71-year-old Harriston driver was charged with driving under suspension contrary to the HTA. On April 17, 2023, at approximately 8:30 a.m., a Wellington County OPP member commenced a commercial motor vehicle inspection of a commercial van and trailer on Belsyde Avenue East, Fergus.
